It’s quick and easy to do so - we've created a template email for you!
A fair and respectful Universal Credit (UC) system should #SupportNotPunish those who need it most. But as it stands, the current process of claiming UC, along with its conditions and sanctions, often creates a negative environment and pushes single parents further into financial struggle.
We’ve been hearing from single parents about what it’s really like to go through the process of claiming UC, to follow conditionality rules, and the changes that are needed.
On Wednesday, 9 July we’re heading to Parliament to share powerful stories from single parents about their experiences with UC directly with MPs.
We want as many MPs as possible to attend, because they need to hear firsthand how the system is failing single parents, and what must change. The more MPs who champion this campaign in Parliament, the greater our chance of persuading the government to act and reform the Universal Credit system.
